The 5th AMARC Asia-Pacific Regional Conference is being organized in partnership with Thammasat University. The riverside campus will be the venue for the conference (September 27th – 30th, 2023).
Thammasat University is the second oldest university in Thailand. It was founded in 1934 by Pridi Banomyong, the father of Thai democracy. The university was originally called the University of Moral and Political Sciences, and its mission was to educate the Thai people about democracy and the rule of law.
Thammasat University has played a significant role in Thai history. It was the site of the student uprisings in 1973 and 1992, which led to the overthrow of two military dictatorships. The university has also been a major center for intellectual and political debate.
Today, Thammasat University is a leading research university in Thailand. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of social sciences, humanities, law, and economics. The university is also home to a number of research institutes and centers.
